Position Overview

We are seeking a strong audit professional with public accounting experience to join a growing financial advisory firm in Monroe, NY. This role is hands-on and execution-focused, requiring strong understanding on how to run audits — including workpapers, analytics, and testing.

This is a technical role for someone with strong audit experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute financial statement audits, reviews, and compilations
• Prepare and review audit workpapers with accuracy and organization
• Perform substantive testing and analytical procedures
• Analyze financial data and identify inconsistencies or risk areas
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and audit standards
• Collaborate with internal team members to move engagements forward efficiently
• Support additional accounting or project-based work during slower audit periods

Requirements

• Public accounting experience

• Direct audit execution experience

• Experience preparing and working through audit workpapers
• Solid understanding of audit testing and analytics
• Knowledge of GAAP and standard audit procedures

• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple engagements
