    CANDIDATE MUST HAVE PUBLIC ACCOUNTING EXPERIENCE. Audit Defenders is a dynamic consulting firm known for our unique blend of public accounting, forensics and tax audits representations. We are seeking a full time Accountant, up to 40 hours per week to join us at our office in Palos Heights. As a key part of our administrative staff you will be involved in many different aspects of the business as well as multiple projects. Most of the work requires close attention to detail and is of a confidential nature. As with all positions , this role requires the ability to juggle multiple priorities. Candidate must be deadline driven and execute multiple tasks simultaneously. Compensation is commensurate with the candidate’s experience and skills. Primary job responsibilities include:

    1. Acting as a point of contact for client’s questions.
    2. Coordinating with outside legal firms on other accounting requests.
    3. Preparation of Individual and corporate taxes including Partnerships, S-Corporations and Corporations
    4. Proactively interact with key client management to gather information, resolve tax-related
    5. Compiling financial statements.
    6. Prepare State and Federal payroll tax returns and state sales tax returns.
    7. Advise clients on a wide variety of tax concerns and offering solutions to their problems
    8. Candidate must be experienced and well versed in communicating with government and tax officials
    9. Assist in business marketing and business growth. Key qualifications:
    10. CANDIDATE MUST HAVE PUBLIC ACCOUNTING EXPERIENCE. CPA preferred
    11. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
    12. Excellent organization skills. Must possess good analytical skills and be able to thoroughly review of tax and accounting records using premier computer skills, especially Microsoft Excel and other accounting software
    13. Ability to work independently and be a positive self-motivated problem solver with a great attention to detail
    14. Demonstrate ability to work in a fast-paced professional environment
    15. Excellent customer service, verbal and written communication skills
