  • Responsibilities

    Job Summary: Responsible for conducting internal audits, assessments and compliance reviews, focusing on risk mitigation and policy oversight related to Environmental Health and Safety, Employment Liability Insurance, Garage Liability Insurance, Workers Compensation Insurance, and Employee Benefits.

    Responsibilities:

    • Audit and review Workers’ Compensation Trust participation and ensure compliance with trust requirements.
    • Review annual trust renewals, audit reports, actuarial valuations, and loss-run data.
    • Liaise with trust representative to evaluate changes in premiums, reserves, or coverage.
    • Advise executive leadership on compliance risk, financial exposure, or areas of concern based on trust performance and employer obligations.
    • Evaluate the performance and financial viability of the company’s self-fund health plan and associated benefit programs.
    • Review stop-loss insurance contracts, plan renewals, and third-party administrator (TPA) agreements for coverage adequacy and cost-effectiveness.
    • Analyze claims utilization reports and trend data to identify risk areas or opportunities for plan adjustment.
    • Ensure ongoing compliance with ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, and applicable, federal/state benefit regulations.
    • Manages the accounting books for smaller entities, affiliated with the company, including regular account reconciliation, and financial reporting.
    • Prepare risk analysis summaries and trend reports for executive leadership.
    • Perform scheduled and ad hoc audits of internal policies and procedures in areas under scope.
    • Communicate audit findings and recommendations to executive leadership for final decision-making.
    • Additional duties as assigned.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor degree in accounting, finance or related field required.
    • 3+ years of auditing experience within a dealership/automotive industry required.
    • Knowledge of dealership operations, including familiarity with systems such as Reynolds & Reynolds preferred.
    • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple audits simultaneously. 
  • Compensation
    $90,000-$100,000 per year
