    Job Description

    POSITION: E-QP SPECIALIST

    LOCATION: CENTER FOR MEDICARE AND MEDICAID SERVICES

    SHIFT: 8:00AM - 4:30PM

    POSITION: PERSONNEL SECURITY SPECIALIST

    CURRENTLY REMOTE (TEMPORARY DUE TO COVID-19)

    JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    Required Skills: CVS PIPS; e-QIP Initiation, Review and Release; Data entry experience with a case management system; Processing of OF-306, SF85.

    DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES: BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION PROCESSING SUPPORT

    • Assist CMS with all aspects of front-end background investigation processing for the CMS population.
    • Enter data into CMS processing systems including but not limited to; The Case Management System, Security Manger, IDMS, SCMS, and the Enterprise User Administration (EUA) Front-End Interface (EFI).
    • Enter data into the e-QIP system for processing from initiation to completion for the CMS population, including conducting a quality review of the information submitted and communicating with the customer, in-person, by email, and/or phone, to ensure proper completion of the e-QIP.
    • Fingerprint customers (i.e. potential CMS population) for credentialing and background investigation processing utilizing the B.E.S.T enrollment software station and with ink on hard cards.
    • Access the DCSA CVS/PIPS database to review customer’s prior investigation information, screen-shot the case and adjudication status in order to update and upload into the customer’s Security Manager profile and provide to Federal Personnel Security Specialists for further review.
    • Ensure Foreign National customers present documents that provide Federal work authorization to upload into Security Manager and to provide the work authorization expiration date for credential processing.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Minimum of 3 years of eQIP initiation experience.
    • Education: BA or equivalent.
    • Required Skills: CVS PIPS; e-QIP Initiation, Review and Release
    • Data entry experience with a case management system; Processing of OF-306, SF85.
