Seeking a seasoned manager to execute large food and beverage events (300 ) for our convention facility. The Augusta Convention Center (ACC) Floor Manager will:
Have 3 years of experience as a Food and Beverage Manager
Basic facilities management or building maintenance is helpful
Have experience coaching, team building (small internal staff and large temporary or seasonal staff)
Be driven, detailed and results oriented
Be able to demonstrate the ability to execute large food and/or event functions as specified by Convention Services Manager, event orders and customer pre-function meetings.
Lead physical event room set ups to diagrams
Work with the engineering team on guest's request for electrical hook ups and all maintenance issues
Ensure daily that the facility is in working order, mechanical systems functioning and building is clean
College degree preferred; additional years of experience in lieu of will be considered
Computer savvy, internet, website, billing systems and standard office software, including Outlook
Must be able to work hours by event occupancy which includes days, nights, weekends and holidays.
Physical requirements include but are not limited to: Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling up to 50 pounds, long periods of standing and walking (10-12 hours on event days); ability to maneuver through event space on multi-levels, ability to assist with table, buffet set ups; ability to resolve conflict quickly and to guest satisfaction; ability to input information in a computer for reports and billing.
