We are seeking enthusiastic and energetic leaders for immediate employment as Telecommunications Tower Climbers in the Midwest market. Overnight travel, as well as overtime, is required. We are seeking those with a good work ethic and a history of consistent attendance to join our team. Due to the nature of the position, there is a requirement to possess physical strength and stamina. You’ll work under our construction manager’s direction, alongside a close-knit team of other skilled laborers and tradesmen, to bring our construction plans to life. The ideal candidate will have previous construction experience, and knowledge of construction methods, tools, and equipment. Home most weekends Responsibilities: • Tower Inspection and Maintenance: Perform routine inspections of cell towers to ensure they are in good working condition and address any maintenance issues as needed. • Climbing and Descending Towers: Safely climb and descend cell towers using appropriate safety equipment and techniques. Participate in ongoing safety training programs. • Equipment Installation: Assist in the installation, repair, or replacement of telecommunications equipment and antennas on cell towers. • Cable Routing: Run and route cables, wires, and other components necessary for the operation of telecommunications equipment. • Safety Compliance: Strictly adhere to safety guidelines and protocols while working at heights and handling equipment. • Equipment Testing: Assist in testing and troubleshooting telecommunications equipment to ensure proper functionality. • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, equipment used, and any issues encountered during tower climbs. • Teamwork: Collaborate with fellow climbers and telecom professionals to achieve project goals. • Training: Participate in training programs to acquire new skills and certifications related to tower climbing and telecommunications. • Direction: Adhere to all directions from the foreman and construction manager, and work with other team members to complete construction projects accurately. • Compliance: Ensure all work is performed in compliance with relevant regulations, industry standards, and company policies. Qualifications: • Willingness to Learn: A strong desire to learn, adapt, and develop new skills is crucial for success in this role. • Safety Awareness: Demonstrated commitment to safety procedures and the ability to follow safety guidelines. • Reliability: Punctuality and reliability are crucial, as cell tower maintenance and installation often require a strong commitment to deadlines. • Communication Skills: Effective communication with team members and supervisors is important for ensuring safe and efficient operations. • Physical Fitness: Excellent physical condition and ability to work at heights are essential. • Working at Heights: Candidates must have the ability to work at great heights. • Technical Aptitude: Basic construction/technical knowledge or an interest in telecommunications and equipment is beneficial. • Team Player: The ability to work well in a team and follow instructions is essential. • Previous Construction Experience: knowledge of construction methods, tools, and equipment, and a basic understanding of blueprints and construction plans are required. • WEATHER: Must demonstrate the ability to work efficiently in diverse weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, or wind. A strong emphasis is placed on safety, requiring a meticulous adherence to safety protocols and guidelines. OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: • Fluent English is required for safe and efficient teamwork. • Must be able to work in a team environment and lead by example. • Meet the Physical Job Requirements. • Must have an email address. • Must have a mobile phone capable of sending and receiving emails. • Arrive on time, prepared, and ready to work with a good attitude...every day. • 90% overnight travel. Home most weekends. • Must be a US citizen or a non-citizen who is authorized to work in the US. • Satisfactory background check. Compensation: $16 - $18 hourly
