    Job Description

    We are looking to hire a product owner with 10+ years of capital markets domain experience. Product owner experience working on large enterprise technology projects adhering to agile methodologies is essential. This is a contract position but depending on your performance this can be on a long-term contract. You may be required to work from our client location in Westlake, TX for 2-3 days in a week.     JOB DESCRIPTION Requirements and Skills:

    • Extensive experience in one or more areas of banking is essential: Operations, Finance, or Risks
    • Experience managing multi-year projects in the capacity of product owner is essential
    • Gathering requirements for large enterprise software development projects
    • Expertise working with JIRA
    • Exposure to Agile / scrum frameworks with all artifact and techniques
    • Ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams
    • Familiarity with software development
    • Excellent knowledge of Scrum techniques and artifacts (such as definition of done, user stories, automated testing, backlog refinement)
    • Good knowledge of other Agile frameworks
    • Excellent communication and servant leadership skills
    • Problem-solving and conflict-resolution ability
    • Outstanding organizational skills

    Responsibilities: Manage technology projects in one of the areas of banking: Operations, Finance, or Risk:

    • Define product requirements and create user stories and epics for large enterprise technology projects adhering to agile methodologies
    • Manage project’s scope and timeline
    • Define product requirements and roadmap
    • Coordinate sprints, retrospective meetings, and daily stand-ups
    • Facilitate internal communication and effective collaboration
    • Manage product backlogs and new requirements
    • Define UAT test cases
    • Ensure deliverables are up to quality standards at the end of each sprint
    • Assist development teams to comply with agile methodology

    SOFT SKILLS: 

    • Team player

    BUSINESS / TECHNICAL SKILLS: 

    • Microsoft Outlook Microsoft Word

    • Microsoft PowerPoint

    • Experience working for financial institutions – retail banks, investment banks, asset management, or wealth management firms

    TOOLS EXPERIENCE: 

    • JIRA

    EDUCATION:

    • Bachelors or Masters

    PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATION (IS A PLUS):

    • Such as Scrum Master certification, CFA, FINRA SERIES is a plus
