We are actively seeking a compassionate mental health therapist for our clinic who is committed to therapeutic excellence for our patients. You will be responsible for doing diagnostic assessments, making customized treatment plans with goals and objectives, providing crisis intervention as needed, and following up with patients to ensure they are receiving appropriate ongoing care. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of clinical experience working with mental health patients as well as a current LMHC (licensed mental health counselor) license. Responsibilities: Monitor each patient situation on a frequent basis and offer the appropriate follow-up care Refer patients and family members to community resources or to specialists as necessary Assess patients’ mental condition based on review of medical information, interviews, observation, tests, and collaboration with other staff members Develop specific therapy plans with goals and objectives for individual patients Aid with crisis intervention for patients when they are in a state of distress • Provide high-quality therapy to individuals on a mostly weekly basis. • Reassess patient situations and provide appropriate follow-up care based on their current needs. • Maintain proper notes and documentation.  • Guides clients in the development of skills and strategies to deal with their problems. Encourages clients to express their feelings and discuss what is happening in their lives and helps them develop insight into themselves and their relationships. • Create a safe space for clients to come to where they feel seen and heard.  • Evaluate the client's mental condition based on the review of client information. Develop and implement treatment plans based on clinical experience and knowledge. • Build a trusting relationship and rapport with clients.  • Offer resources and referrals when needed and necessary.  Qualifications: Exceptional problem-solving and analytical ability as well as outstanding interpersonal and communication skills are needed This position requires a high school diploma or GED equivalent and a bachelor’s degree in a field such as counseling or social work; we prefer a master’s degree Licensure in the state you reside as a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) or the equivalent is required Additional certifications required: CPR, BLS (Basic Life Support) • Possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and great communication and interpersonal skills • 1-3 years in a clinical setting working with mental health patients is required • Training and/or experience in treating anxiety and trauma-related disorders • EMDR training preferred • Must be a licensed LPC, LCSW, or Psychologist • Must be licensed in TX • Must be comfortable working remotely  • Must be proficient in virtual technology Ex: Gmail, zoom, electronic EHR, etc Compensation: $56,000 - $81,000 yearly
