Job Description

The Clinical Data Operating team reviews laboratory test results for accuracy of patient demographics, clinic information and compliance as needed. This role blends advance data entry skills with the duties of a customer service agent.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

-Review test reports for accuracy of patient and test information.

-Accurately document and update patient accounts with all the information received and actions taken.

-Communicate electronically with other departments including customer service, sales, and engineers/laboratory technicians. -Handles customer correspondence in a prompt, friendly, and professional manner to create positive connections. -Delegate unresolved issues to Clinical Data Reporting Team Lead. -Assist in updating the departmental procedures and databases. -Provide assistance training and mentoring new employees.

-This role works with PHI and requires all employees to complete PHI/HIPAA privacy training within 30 days of hire. This status must be renewed and remain active.

-All employees must pass a criminal background check.

QUALIFICATIONS

-Associate degree and/or 2 years of data entry/customer service experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

-Schedule flexibility for time and shift as the work schedule may need to be modified to meet operation requirements.

-Knowledge of Microsoft office, basic typing, and excellent spelling and grammar. -Strong attention to detail and organization skills.

-Adaptability to change and a self-starter.

-Demonstrated ability to work creatively amidst competing priorities to meet goals/objectives on time.

-Willing to learn new tasks and possess a positive service-oriented attitude.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE -Experience with LIMS. -Life sciences/healthcare industry experience. -Data collection and maintenance. -Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.
