Austin Wildlife Rescue is looking for a Facilities Maintenance Assistant to work at both our East Austin and Elgin locations. This position will assist the Facilities Maintenance and Repair Specialist in a variety of duties.

Responsibilities:

• General groundskeeping on 6.5 acres in Elgin and 2 acres in Austin (mowing, weed eating, fence line maintenance, tree-trimming
• Routine maintenance indoors and outdoors (lights, doors, leaks)
• General cleaning and building upkeep (painting, power washing, repairs)

Requirements:

• Experience working in general maintenance/repair capacity
• Communication and organizational skills
• Two professional references indicating prior experience
• Background check
