About Austin Wildlife Rescue: Austin Wildlife Rescue is a non-profit organization dedicated to the rehabilitation and conservation of wildlife species in the Austin area. Our mission is to care for and rehabilitate injured, sick, and orphaned animals, with the goal of releasing them back into their natural habitats. We also strive to educate the community about wildlife conservation and the importance of coexisting with local wildlife.
Job Description: Austin Wildlife Rescue is seeking a passionate and experienced individual to join our team as the Philanthropy Officer, where the main goal is to develop and implement fundraising strategies to meet financial goals. This includes cultivating relationships with donors, overseeing fundraising events, researching and submitting grants, and collaborating with other staff to maximize fundraising efforts. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, relationship builder, and results-oriented professional who is committed to advancing our mission through effective fundraising strategies and donor engagement.

Responsibilities:
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent practical experience in nonprofit management, fundraising, communications, business administration, or related field. Proven track record of success in securing major gifts, grants, and corporate sponsorships. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate the organization's mission and impact to diverse audiences. Attention to detail Preferred experience with multiple social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.). Preferred experience with graphic design (Canva, InDesign and other Adobe software, etc.) Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain relationships with donors, volunteers, and community partners. Proficiency in donor database management software (e.g., Bloomerang) Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast- paced environment. Commitment to the mission and values of Austin Wildlife Rescue and a passion for wildlife conservation and environmental stewardship.
