If you're ready to take your career to the next level and gain valuable experience, apply today! • The primary role of the Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) is to assist the dentist as necessary to gain the patient's commitment for the best possible treatment with urgency • Actively participate in the Perfect Patient Experience by striving to keep your patients focused on optimal treatment while attending to their individual needs and concerns • Maintain a clean, sterile, and cheerful environment where your patients feel comfortable; prepare patients for treatment, and assist the doctors - thereby enabling them to provide efficient, quality dental treatment • At the direction of the dentist, complete x-rays and intra-oral pictures of patients as appropriate • At the direction of the dentist, instruct patients on postoperative and general oral health care. • Sterilize and disinfect instruments, equipment, and operatories in accordance with the American Dental Association guidelines • Maintain strict compliance with State, Federal, and other regulations, (e.g., OSHA, WC, Dental Board, HIPAA, ADA, DOL, HR policies and practices) The ideal candidate will have: • Necessary industry certifications and education • Possess outstanding time management, communication, and enjoys working in a team environment. • Demonstrate knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, technical skills and equipment Job Type: Full-time Salary: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour Benefits: • Dental Insurance • PTO • Bonuses • No working Saturdays • Flexible schedule Schedule: • 8-hour shift • Tuesday to Friday Ability to commute/relocate: • The Colony, TX 75056: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required) Experience: • Dental assisting: 1-2 years (Preferred) License/Certification: • X-Ray Certification (Preferred) Work Location: In person Responsibilities: Schedule appointments for patient care follow up, answer any questions they may have about dental hygiene, and provide postoperative instructions with methods for infection control of the patients’ teeth and gums, after procedures Get treatment rooms ready for examination and procedures by equipping them with necessary sterilized equipment, dental instruments, anesthetics, dental supplies, and materials Measure and document vital signs and medical history for patient records, take x-rays of patients’ mouths, and apply a topical anesthetic for dental procedures, if needed Meet patients and explain dental care treatment plans so they feel comfortable during an appointment Support dentists and dental hygienists by handing off dental instruments, providing suction, and ensuring chair-side accessibility to the team during procedures or examinations Qualifications: Certification or Associate’s Degree from a college or technical school training program accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation is required Up-to-date BLS/CPR certification is required Need state licensure as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) Exceptional interpersonal skills, customer service, organization, and excellent communication skills are preferred Previous dental assisting experience as a registered dental assistant or certified dental assistant (3 years) is necessary Compensation: $40,000 - $50,000
