As Field Application Engineer Systems you will work closely with Auterion's customers and partners to implement our technology into their stacks. A Solutions Engineer combines hands-on implementation of cutting-edge technology, with effective client & project management skills. You will solve quests ranging from hardware systems and sensor integration questions to flight control problems where you will interact with our flight control team to help our client bring their drones safely to the sky.

IN DETAIL YOU WILL:

• Manage and support the end-to-end implementation of Auterion's technology into the applications & tech stack of our customers
• Work with the product engineering team on designing and implementing features (on an embedded linux and microcontroller/RTOS environment)
• Regularly lead in-person & remote sessions with customer's engineering & product teams on technical developments and integrations ansLeverage your understanding of hardware and software technology to help customers implement their desired use cases & discover new custom applications.
• Interact with our customers in person, over the phone or slack/email to answer technical questions and make sure our product is delivered and deployed successfully.  Manage client expectations and timeline commitments
• Closely work with Auterion's product engineering and support teams to further build & grow our platform and product offerings.

WE'D LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF:

• U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US-only data systems.
• 3-5 years of software engineering with embedded linux experience and C or C++
• Experience with integrating hardware components (such as sensors) into an embedded system and an understanding of typical embedded communication protocols (CAN, I2C, SPI, etc)
• Proven track-record of working with customers to perform software/hardware integrations within the given time frame. (i.e software consulting)
• Touch points with drone flight control systems systems; (PX4 is a plus)
• Experience with developing drone control and estimation systems is a plus
