Job Description
Position/Title: Program Manager, Prosper Workforce Services (PWS)
Scope/Purpose: Autism Action Partnership’s PWS program is designed to connect individuals with autism to meaningful employment. Using a traditional workforce development model, PWS works to match the skills of the job seeker with the employment needs of a business. The Program Manager is responsible for the day to day operations of PWS, ensuring quality services to both program participants and businesses, and achieving program outcomes. The Program Manager will supervise direct services staff and be responsible for data collection and analysis. The Program Manager is also expected be qualified to provide direct services to participants, including on-site job coaching, when needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•Develop a detailed understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorder to allow for working with participants as well as educating the community
•Responsible for training and supervising program staff
•Conduct targeted outreach and recruitment efforts to engage participants, partners, and employers
•Establish and cultivate relationships with community business leaders to increase employment opportunities for individuals with autism
•Design and execute training curriculum for participants, employers, and interested community members
•Provide direct services to participants and be the emergency contact when staff shortages arise
•Ensure timely and accurate data collection and confidential record keeping
•Identify, collect data, and report on key metrics and outcomes that demonstrate program efficacy
•Maintain knowledge of various state and local resources and assist participants and their families navigate these resources
•Maintain a reputation as an ambassador of the autism community
•Serve as an active member of the Metro Region Transition Advisory Team, EmployOMA, and other groups identified as beneficial in advancing the mission of PWS
•Assist Autism Action Partnership leadership in:
Complexity/Diversity of work: This position involves a wide array of tasks and activities required to promote the interest and support of adults with autism in the vocational setting. The position requires a highly motivated, entrepreneur individual with program development and project management skills. The Program Manager needs to be able to demonstrate proven leadership skills to promote the programs goals. This position requires experience and education on autism to effectively support adults on the autism spectrum and their employers or potential employers. This position will have frequent contact with board members, community agencies, business leaders in the community, and heads of charitable organizations in Nebraska.
Desired Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Sociology, Psychology, Education, MBA, Social Work or related field or equivalent experience
Knowledge of: •Best practices in workforce development programs •Best practices in supported employment programs •Autism Spectrum Disorder •Adult learning principles and online instructional design
Ability to: •Execute and manage all details of the program •Interact professionally and demonstrate cultural competence with diverse populations •Develop and manage internal and external relationships •Resolve problems and handle sensitive situations with sound judgement •Communicate in written and oral form to various audiences •Coordinate, facilitate, and participate in a collaborative approach with direct services staff •Design engaging and effective online and in-person training modules

Salary: $48,000 base, starting salary dependent on education and/or experience. Benefits including retirement, health, and others Travel: 50% local to Omaha Metro; 1-2 times per year, travel may extend further and include overnight stay Schedule: 40-45 hours, some nights and weekends.
