    About the Role:

    The Adaptive Skills Specialist is an integral part of a treatment team and this position entails working solely with one adult client. All team members work collaboratively to assist an individual meet his individualized communication, social, and educational goals.

    Extensive training is provided through overlapping with senior team members. This position requires an individual who is compassionate and has a genuine interest in working with a young adult on the autism spectrum. Ideal applicants for this position have availability on Weekends (one (1) weekend day from 1-9pm is required) in addition to at least two (2) weekdays between the hours of 1-9pm for approximately 22 -30 hours per week.

    Compensation: $30.00 per hour

    Requirements: Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree in one of the following: education, psychology, counseling, nursing, social work, applied behavior analysis, behavioral medicine, speech and language, rehabilitation, or marriage and family therapy.

    Applicants must also have at least one year of experience supporting individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.

    Work Location: One location exclusively working with one client.

    Responsibilities:

    Professionally and positively communicate with consumer, co-workers and family members.

    Promote and use Person-Centered practices to support the client in being an active member of their community and develop and maintain healthy relationships.

    Assist with planning and executing daily activities according to consumer's needs

    Plan and implement interventions for individuals using principles of applied behavior analysis.

    Ensure compliance with organizational policies and state and federal regulations

    Job Type: Part-time (approximately 22-30 hours per week). Possibility of Full-time employment.

    Schedule:

    Up to 8-hour shifts

    Afternoon / Evening shifts between the hours of 1:00-9:00pm

    Weekend availability

    Training sessions are between the hours of 1-9pm on M, W, TH, F, Sat and 1-4pm on Tues
