As an Auto Accident Legal Assistant, you'll be at the heart of our mission, ensuring that injured individuals receive the best legal representation possible. You'll manage personal injury cases, maintain accurate records, and serve as the primary point of contact for our clients. Your role is vital in guiding them seamlessly through the legal process, allowing them to focus on recovery. We are looking for a candidate with strong organizational skills, keen attention to detail, and a genuine passion for helping others. Prior experience as a legal assistant is required, as well as experience in case management. Responsibilities: • Client Communication : Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, provide updates on case status, answer inquiries, and offer compassionate support throughout the legal process • Case Management : Gather necessary information for new cases, communicate with clients regularly, and maintain up-to-date records in the firm’s case management system • Medical Records and Billing Management : Obtain and organize medical records, bills, and other documentation related to personal injury cases, ensuring accuracy for settlement negotiations or trials • Case Research : Conduct research related to case law, statutes, and legal precedents to support attorneys in the preparation of legal strategies and briefs • Client File Organization : Maintain comprehensive and organized physical and electronic client files, ensuring confidentiality and easy accessibility for all case-related documents • Document Preparation and Filing : Prepare, proofread, and file legal documents such as settlement demands in a timely and accurate manner Qualifications: • 2+ years of experience in personal injury case management, preferably in auto-accident casesPrior experience as a legal assistant is a must • Proficiency in legal software applications • Strong Microsoft Office skills • Detail-oriented with a keen eye for accuracy • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality • Willingness to learn and take direction • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks • Independent problem solver • Workers' Compensation experience is a plus Compensation: $25 - $31.50 hourly
