Our high-volume auto repair facility seeks a full-time automotive general manager to oversee and motivate our talented team of professionals. Ideal candidates for this position should have a track record of successful management positions with at least 3 years of experience, and a strong desire to succeed with integrity. You will oversee daily operations driving sales and writing all vehicle estimates in setting big but realistic goals. Responsibilities: • Share accurate and complete daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements with automotive group leaders • Recruit, hire, and train service managers, office managers, and sales/finance department managers to meet profit levels • Review and approve proposed advertising campaigns and programs to increase sale and brand visibility for the car dealership • Learn and uphold all local, state, and federal regulations impacting vehicle sales, and the automotive industry as a whole • Establish and work toward dealership objectives by implementing a growth plan that balances profit and loss statements and necessary vehicle inventory Production management involving, but not limited to: • Maintaining a pulse on WIP (work in progress) • Monitoring work schedule to make sure we have a constant stream of work to keep the shop busy • Coordinating between departments to make sure the team is involved with the same plan, creating "hot sheets" or daily responsibilities for each department, including parts, QC, body, paint, detail & mechanical • Meet sales goal along with other cycle & customer service goals • Running interference where needed with customers, insurance companies & other vendors • Write accurate estimates to ensure our GP on parts & labor are above 60% in labor & 33% on parts • Review monthly P&L statements with regional management to make sure the shop maintains profitability, creating a rotational Saturday schedule for front office coverage • Setting clear expectations & goals for each department with feedback & coaching when not met Qualifications: • The ability to interpret profit and loss statements and display strong leadership and communication skills is critical • Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required; a high school diploma or GED equivalent needed • Three or more years of experience in a sales manager or general manager position for a dealership or auto group is necessary • A valid, state-issued driver’s license and clean record are mandatory to drive dealership vehicles • Pulse on the automotive industry and the trends Compensation: $100,000 yearly
