    Experienced Production Manager – Auto Body Shop

    Busy, high-volume family owned auto body shop is hiring an experienced and hands-on Production Manager to lead day-to-day operations. This is a true management position—prior experience managing a team in a collision repair environment is required.

    We need someone who can take ownership of shop flow, push jobs through the pipeline, and work closely with our service, parts, and mechanical teams. The right candidate will be organized, accountable, and motivated to keep the shop running at peak performance.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Lead and supervise the production team (technicians, estimators, support staff)

    Oversee shop workflow from job intake to delivery, ensuring timely and high-quality repairs

    Manage estimates and supplements, including direct communication with adjusters and insurance partners

    Oversee parts ordering and inventory, coordinating closely with the mechanical manager and service advisor

    Track and improve KPIs like cycle time, technician efficiency, and supplement capture

    Help maintain and expand DRP and dealership accounts

    Schedule work, resolve bottlenecks, and communicate updates clearly to internal teams and customers

    Required Skills & Experience (Must-Have):

    5+ years in a production manager or senior operations role within a collision repair facility

    Strong leadership experience, with a track record of managing teams and improving shop performance

    Proficiency in CCC One and/or Mitchell for estimating and supplements

    Familiarity with CarBeat or other production management software

    Understanding of I-CAR training standards and ability to support technician compliance/licensure

    Knowledge of collision repair, insurance protocols, and parts sourcing

    Experience coordinating between body, paint, and mechanical department
