Our successful automotive technician candidate understands vehicle electrical and computer systems and is able to properly diagnose and fix repairs. Responsibilities: • Apply a checklist-based approach to ensure a comprehensive examination of all vehicle systems, including the engine, air conditioning, transmission, and brake systems • Clearly articulate automotive repair issues and repairs needed to remedy them to both customers and auto mechanics • Conduct routine maintenance, as needed, such as fluid level checks, tire rotations, brake pad replacement, or oil changes • Use diagnostic equipment, technical expertise, and the vehicle’s integrated diagnostic systems to identify and determine the cause of malfunction codes • Follow all manufacturer specifications for vehicle system repairs to ensure optimum customer satisfaction and facilitate returning business • Perform body repairs, including dent removal, panel replacement, sanding, and refinishing • Use industry-standard tools and equipment to complete repairs to OEM standards • Work closely with estimators and other technicians to ensure the timely completion of repairs • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following OSHA and company safety policies • Document work performed and communicate clearly with management as needed • Stay up to date on repair techniques, tools, and best practices in the industry Qualifications: • Automotive service technology training program completion or equivalent years of experience is required; associates degree is a bonus • ASE certification or comparable standard service technician credential, such as SAE, is attractive • Minimum 2 years of experience in collision repair or autobody work • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record • Ability to lift up to 60 pounds and operate required hand/power tools • Must have own basic tool set (specialty tools provided) • I-CAR or ASE certifications are a plus, but not required • Excellent attention to detail and pride in workmanship • Reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic and communication skills Compensation: $25 - $28 hourly
