    $35.00/hr-$45.00/hr (Flexible) | 100% Remote
    Our client, a long-standing provider of innovative wastewater treatment and solutions, seeks a Part-Time AutoCAD Designer to support engineering and drafting activities. This role will focus primarily on creating and revising AutoCAD drawings, preparing project documentation, and assisting the engineering team with custom designs for municipal and industrial water/wastewater treatment projects. The Designer will collaborate with engineers, project managers, and manufacturing teams to ensure accurate and efficient design deliverables that align with client and regulatory requirements.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and update 2D AutoCAD drawings, including site layouts, equipment details, and system schematics.
    • Translate engineering concepts, sketches, and specifications into accurate design documents.
    • Assist with creating and maintaining Bills of Materials (BOMs) and assigning part and assembly numbers.
    • Support design reviews by preparing drawings, layouts, and documentation for internal teams and client presentations.
    • Coordinate with project engineers, project managers, and vendors to ensure proper integration of components into wastewater and lagoon treatment systems.
    • Maintain organized design files and documentation for project tracking and regulatory compliance.
    • Contribute to process improvement initiatives within the engineering department.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Associate degree, technical certification, or coursework in mechanical design, drafting, or engineering.
    • Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D required
    • 4+ years of relevant drafting or design experience, ideally within water, wastewater, or environmental systems.
    • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical plans, and specifications.
    • Strong organizational, documentation, and time management skills.
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
    • Familiarity with mechanical components (pumps, valves, fittings) is considered a plus.
