We are seeking a Business Development Associate to become an integral part of our team! You will gauge sales opportunities and provide extensive customer service to all clients. In the role of an OEM Parts business development associate, you will drive growth by developing and nurturing automotive collision and mechanical OEM parts business relationships with AutoNation Parts Center Clearwater present and future customers. Success in this role will be demonstrated by the number of leads that increase the customer base and converting to actual sales.
Responsibilities:
- Educate and promote company products and services to new and existing customers clients
- Reach agreed upon contact targets by deadline
- Close and follow up on sales leads or transactions
- Investigate and resolve customer issues and complaints
- Network and build relationships with new and existing client base
- Discover, collect, and organize market data for the automotive repair industry for OEM parts sales opportunities. 100% of the position is to utilize this data to contact, via phone, email, or direct mail, present and future customers
- Create sales leads and implement strategies to increase sales and market share for the business unit
- Communicate and coordinate with the Parts Director, Sales Manager and Sales Associates to convert leads to actual sales
- On the job training on business tools and customer management systems
Professional Qualifications:
- Previous experience in sales, customer service, or other related fields
- Strong negotiation skills
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- Ability to build rapport with clients
- Ability to conduct market and/or individual business research
- Contact, cultivate, and establish new business or expand on an existing established business relationship
- Basic Microsoft Office knowledge for reporting
- General knowledge of the automotive repair industry is preferred but not required, such as collision, mechanical, municipal, and fleet maintenance.
Personal Qualifications:
- The discipline to be self-directed and self-motivated
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Must be able to be stationary at a desk 8 hours a day making phone calls, emailing and updating customer management software system
