To help us drive excellence, you’ll get to:

· Performs inspections on stamping presses and associated equipment.

· Visually inspects and listens to machines and equipment to locate causes of malfunctions.

· Inspects and measures parts to detect wear, misalignment, or other problems.

· Major and minor repairs to stamping presses and associated equipment.

· Repairs made in the field at customer location.

· Operates forklifts, articulating booms, scissor lifts and mobile cranes, overhead cranes.

· Disassemble, move, reassemble, and install machinery.

· Reports the need for repairs to the immediate Supervisor.

· Dismantles machines and equipment to gain access to problem area.

· Removes and replaces worn or defective parts.

· Realigns and adjusts components such as spindles and clutches.

· Locates damaged air and hydraulic pipes on machine.

· Measures, cuts, threads, and installs new pipe.

· Starts machines and equipment to test operation following repair.

· Wire and troubleshoot basic electrical control circuits.

· Performs preventive maintenance on stamping presses and associated equipment.

This full-time hourly role is a part of our Maintenance Services Planning team and reports to the Machine Press Repair manager.

Required experience:

• Maintenance Journeyman status or equivalent
• 3+ years’ maintenance experience in an automotive manufacturing environment
• Able to interpret mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic drawings.
• Ability to travel.
