We are seeking a skilled Automatic Gate Installer to assemble, install, and service residential and commercial automated gate systems. Responsibilities: Install Install slide gates, swing gates, and barrier arms Welding: Perform field welding to modify or reinforce steel and aluminum gate structures. Electrical & Power: Connect main line voltage to gate operators and control boards. Low Voltage & Access Control: Wire, configure, and integrate low-voltage accessories including vehicle loop detectors, keypads, card readers, photo eyes, safety edges, intercoms, and wireless receivers. System Testing & Diagnostics: Test gate travel limits, safety reverse mechanisms, and access accessories to ensure smooth, safe operation. Diagnose electrical short circuits, bad relays, and mechanical faults. Customer Support: Walk property owners through system operation, handheld remotes, and emergency manual release procedures. Qualifications: Preferred Qualifications & Skills Experience: Installing automatic gate operators or related access control hardware. Welding: Proven experience with field welding, grinding, and metal fabrication (MIG/Stick). Electrical: Strong working knowledge of AC power (120V/240V) wiring and safety practices. Low Voltage: Expertise in low-voltage DC circuits, relay logic, sensor wiring, and access control integration. Requirements: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record, ability to lift 50+ lbs, and comfort working outdoors in varying weather conditions. Compensation: $20 - $35 hourly
