We partner with property managers, apartment communities, housing authorities, colleges/universities, and health care/retirement groups based in Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Maryland. We provide the highest quality washer and dryer systems for multi-family apartments, condos, laundry rooms, hotels, and college/university student facilities.
Job Summary
Our Field Service Technicians are Road Warriors and key contributors to Automatic's daily operations by providing prompt, dependable preventative and repair maintenance duties on washers and dryers. As a Service Technician, you will be the "Face of Automatic" and responsible for providing the highest level of customer service. Ideal candidates will already have experience working on Whirlpool, GE, and Speed Queen machines.
Compensation & Travel
Compensation is dependent on experience and geographical location. Average starting pay per hour is approximately $20 - $22. This position requires Monday-Friday travel as needed. Nightly per diem paid.
Key Responsibilities
Receive daily repair requests/orders, identify and procure appropriate parts needed for repairs
Load/unload own truck; follow Company procedures and policies to install, deliver, pick up, and repair washers and dryers (daily)
Evaluate machines, diagnosis the cause, and identify the most effective and efficient solution
Effectively communicate issues and solutions to Customers, and upon agreement, proceed to fix the problem
Test machines to validate solution; clean machines and work area prior to leaving Customer’s residence or Company warehouse
Complete all appropriate paperwork while onsite, return keys, and ensure residence or own work area is as clean as upon arrival
Monitor Company vehicle inventory; promptly alerts Branch Manager of inventory needs per guidelines
Operate company vehicle safely. Obey all local and federal traffic laws
Manage inventory for your van/truck, keep vehicle clean and orderly
Ensure daily paperwork is completed
Be a team player!
Qualifications
Must be able to travel overnight Monday-Friday
Valid driver's license with safe driving record
Ability to pass background check and drug test
Coachable, innovative, team-oriented, and professional
Ability to maneuver heavy machines weighing over 150lbs
