Key Responsibilities

• Support process, equipment, and facility improvements to increase efficiency, quality, and uptime.

• Work closely with Operations, Engineering, Reliability, and IT teams.

• Lead and mentor maintenance/technical staff on automation and process control issues.

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex automation, controls, and process problems.

• Oversee automation/controls projects, including budgets, scheduling, and compliance.

• Assess equipment reliability and develop upgrade plans as needed.

• Prepare and present capital expenditure proposals.

• Support digitalization efforts, including AI/ML, data systems, and Industry 4.0/5.0 initiatives.

• Provide occasional after-hours support for critical plant issues.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical, Mechatronics, or Automation Engineering.

• ~3+ years in factory automation, controls, or instrumentation.

• PLC/HMI programming experience (Siemens preferred).

• Strong problem-solving and project management skills.

• Effective communication and ability to collaborate across teams.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Industry 4.0/5.0 technologies.

• Background in rolling, steel, or aluminum manufacturing.

Salary info:

$55.29 - $57.69 / hr
