Key Responsibilities
Support process, equipment, and facility improvements to increase efficiency, quality, and uptime.
Work closely with Operations, Engineering, Reliability, and IT teams.
Lead and mentor maintenance/technical staff on automation and process control issues.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex automation, controls, and process problems.
Oversee automation/controls projects, including budgets, scheduling, and compliance.
Assess equipment reliability and develop upgrade plans as needed.
Prepare and present capital expenditure proposals.
Support digitalization efforts, including AI/ML, data systems, and Industry 4.0/5.0 initiatives.
Provide occasional after-hours support for critical plant issues.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical, Mechatronics, or Automation Engineering.
~3+ years in factory automation, controls, or instrumentation.
PLC/HMI programming experience (Siemens preferred).
Strong problem-solving and project management skills.
Effective communication and ability to collaborate across teams.
Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Industry 4.0/5.0 technologies.
Background in rolling, steel, or aluminum manufacturing.
Salary info:
$55.29 - $57.69 / hr
