Automotive Manufacturing | Injection Molding & Assembly

Position Overview
We are seeking an Automation Engineer to support injection molding and automated assembly operations in a high-volume automotive manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for PLC programming, process optimization, and automation troubleshooting to improve production efficiency, reliability, and quality.
This is a hands-on engineering role ideal for someone with 2–4 years of experience in manufacturing automation who is looking to expand their technical scope and project ownership.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and modify PLC/HMI programs (Omron, Keyence, Pro-face preferred)
- Support injection molding and assembly line automation systems
- Troubleshoot electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and robotic systems
- Conduct time studies and analyze process performance
- Assist with line layout development and process flow improvements
- Support new model launches and automation integration
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
- Collaborate cross-functionally with production, quality, tooling, and maintenance teams
- Participate in continuous improvement (Kaizen) initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field
- 2–4 years of experience in automotive manufacturing or injection molding
- Experience with PLC programming (Omron, Keyence, or similar platforms)
- Knowledge of sensors, I/O systems, robotics, and industrial controls
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Experience conducting time studies and process optimization
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with multi-platform PLC systems
- Wiring knowledge
- Experience supporting automated assembly lines
- Project management exposure
