  • Responsibilities

    As a seasoned automation engineer, you’ll design secure, high-performance automation systems for hyperscale data centers that support global connectivity and commerce while working for a 40-year-old company that employs 400 nationwide. 

    Summary:

    As an Automation SCADA Engineer, you will design, build, and commission high-availability SCADA solutions for critical infrastructure projects, including large-scale hyperscale and colocation data-center campuses (10MW–200MW+).

    Working under our Senior SCADA Engineer, you’ll turn PLC tag maps into intuitive HMIs, historian records, and actionable dashboards that keep critical facilities online 24×7.

    Education / Experience Requirements

    • Bachelor’s in Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline

    PLUS

    • 4+ years hands-on SCADA development experience in mission-critical/industrial automation projects using Ignition platform
    • Certifications: Ignition 8.1 Gold Certified

    Requirements

    Position Requirements (Advanced level for all the following)

    • UI design for BAS / EPMS solutions
    • UDT development and testing
    • Systems integration using standard Protocols: OPC UA, BACnet/IP, Modbus TCP, MQTT (Sparkplug B)
    • Python scripting, transaction groups, and gateway redundancy
    • Platform solution architecture, including licensing, module selection and SMA support options
    • Source control (Git), ticketing (Jira/Azure DevOps), basic Linux/Windows server admin
    • Soft Skills: Clear client-facing communication, rapid decision-making, and calm execution in schedule-compressed environments.
    • Knowledge of VLANs, LANs, VPNs, and RSTP
    • Knowledge of IoT and smart building solutions

    Travel / Relocation Requirements

    • Daily travel up to 50%, including travel to all 50 states
    • International travel may be required based on individual skill, training, and project needs

      $120,000-$150,000 per year
