Automation Support Technician

What You’ll Do
- Respond quickly to radio calls from the logistics team to resolve automation issues.
- Monitor and troubleshoot warehouse automation systems including shuttles, ASRS cranes, and conveyor equipment.
- Use systems such as SCADA, HMI, GUI, and WMS to identify and resolve operational issues.
- Conduct routine checks throughout the warehouse to identify faulty equipment or potential problems.
- Clear minor equipment jams and resolve issues that do not require tools unless directed by a team lead.
- Investigate recurring automation issues and report findings to the coordinator or maintenance system.
- Support experienced technicians with entry-level maintenance tasks.
- Document issues, repairs, and parts usage in maintenance systems and daily reports.
- Maintain communication between maintenance and logistics teams to ensure production uptime.
- Perform inventory checks for spare parts and tools.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts across automation and maintenance processes.
- Follow all safety, housekeeping, and environmental policies.
What You Bring
- At least 2 years of electrical or mechanical experience.
- A degree in Mechatronics or a related field (Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science), currently enrolled, or willing to enroll in a relevant program or certification.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-moving environment.
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations such as receiving, replenishment, and picking.
- Familiarity with HMIs and warehouse management systems.
- Knowledge of safety procedures including lockout/tagout and equipment shutdown processes.
Nice to Have
- Exposure to PLC control systems.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
