Summary
We are looking for an Industrial Automation Technician to join a respected industry leader supporting highly technical and mission-critical environments through integrated construction and technology solutions. The organization is recognized for innovation, reliability, and strong execution.
This role supports the installation, programming, commissioning, and maintenance of industrial automation systems. The position works closely with project management and engineering teams to deliver PLC, HMI, and SCADA solutions, troubleshoot field issues, and ensure successful project execution and system performance.
Key Responsibilities
Start up, commission, and service PLC/HMI/SCADA control systems
Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues on job sites
Support project kickoff, turnover, and closeout activities
Document field changes and support as-built documentation
Collaborate with other technicians to develop and share technical solutions
Participate in ongoing training to maintain technical expertise
Communicate technical findings and updates to project and operations teams
Requirements
Associate degree in automation, robotics, technology, or related field or 3–5 years of relevant controls experience
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, technology, or manufacturing preferred
Working knowledge of PLC, HMI, and SCADA platforms
Understanding of industrial networks, process controls, and system commissioning
Proficiency with standard office and documentation tools
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to travel to customer sites, including overnight travel as needed
Ability to work in office and active jobsite environments
