Seeking a Senior Automation Programmer to work for a Professional Engineering and Systems Integrator firm that specializes in Design and Design-Build services primarily for Water and Wastewater projects. This company has been around for more than 25 years and is growing! They’ve cultivated a strong client and employee-centered environment. Work with a team that works together effectively to deliver projects on time and within budget.
Job Duties:
- Take a leadership role in projects from concept through operational readiness.
- Program and integrate complex control systems.
- Conduct hands-on troubleshooting of field control systems.
- Provide technical support in resolving equipment and process issues when necessary.
- Serve as a mentor to less experienced Programmers to share knowledge for the benefit of others.
- This role will occasionally provide after-hour client support and have overnight travel trips for projects.
Qualifications:
- Experience in the programming of PLC control and PC-based SCADA systems.
- System start-ups
- A Bachelor’s or Associate's degree in Engineering or related technology is preferred.
- Proficiency with multiple manufacturers of automation hardware and software including but not limited to Allen Bradley, Schneider: Unity Pro, Vijeo Designer, ProWorx32, Telepace Studio, GeoSCADA, Wonderware In Touch, System Platform, Historian, Aveva Edge, and GE hardware and software.
Nice to Haves:
- Hard-wired, Wireless, Radio Networks, and in the configuration and troubleshooting process of control instrumentation and motor control devices.
- Knowledge of VPNs and cyber security is a definite plus!
