Develop new technical ideas for an OEM considered a world leader in modernized processing equipment used in food, pharmaceutical, and other industries worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Develop new technical ideas from proof-of-concept, to prototype, to production-level beta unit, to finished product.
• Design training material or manuals as it relates to controls.
• Responsible for ongoing testing and code development of new products. Travel to factories to support the manufacturing challenges during initial launch of a new product.
• Support troubleshooting field issues that occur during a product launch. Travel to customer sites and trade shows.
• Travel domestically/internationally 20%.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent field experience
• 5-10 years of experience programming PLC systems from scratch
• Knowledge of the workings of system controls panels
• Experience in a continuous process environment
• Experience creating method statements and risk assessments.
• Experience using AutoCAD and familiar with reading a drawing.
• Proficient with Word, Excel, and Power Point.

• Experience with SAP a plus
• Experience with SCADA or MES system is a plus.
• Food Industry Experience is a plus
