    Role Overview

    As a Systems Engineer, you will leverage your expertise in electrical controls, IT, and security systems to design and implement fully integrated control systems tailored to meet our clients' security and access control needs. From initial planning to final installation, you will play a key role in the functional design and implementation of these systems, while continuously seeking opportunities for process improvement.

     

    Responsibilities:

    \- Engineer, design, and program integrated access control, surveillance, and HMI/PLC control systems.

    \- Develop HMI using Wonderware software.

    \- Design system and network architecture.

    \- Draft hardware and panel schematics.

    \- Analyze and develop solutions for integrating disparate systems.

    \- Produce customer and in-house specifications and related documentation.

    \- Provide technical support to customers and internal team members.

     

    Preferred Skills:

    \- Proficiency in HMI or SCADA software, particularly Wonderware Intouch and Archestra.

    \- Experience programming PLCs, preferably Omron, Modicon Momentum, and/or Allen Bradley 5000.

    \- Knowledge of electrical control systems design, with Autocad experience as a plus.

    \- Strong computer skills.

    \- Understanding of networking principles and communications.

    \- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

    \- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

    \- Familiarity with video, intercom, and access control systems is advantageous.

    \- Experience in VB.NET or C# programming is a plus.

     

    Are You Qualified or Have the Experience?

    \- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related technical field, or equivalent work experience.

    \- Proficiency in 2D AutoDesk or similar CAD applications.

    \- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on PLC and/or HMI programming experience.

    \- Ability to pass government background checks as required by clients.

    \- Willingness to travel approximately 15% to 20% of the time, including occasional overnight stays.
