    As an integral member of the team, the Automation Specialist plays a pivotal role in enhancing and selling automation solutions, thereby expanding our customers' automation capabilities with optimal solutions. This role involves collaboration with the distributor's factory representatives and in-house specialists to deliver comprehensive automation product packages across industrial, commercial, and residential sectors. Additionally, the Automation Specialist is tasked with orchestrating an annual training program for both customers and employees, with monthly training sessions.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement strategic business and account plans for marketing and selling our range of Automation products.
    • Support and work in tandem with Account Managers and Inside Sales teams to bolster all relationships pivotal for supporting automation lines.
    • Provide expert training and guidance to Inside Sales Teams and Account Managers.
    • Leverage sales tools for project coordination, ensuring seamless tracking and collaboration across Specialists, Account Managers, and Branch Managers.
    • Conduct customer-centric training events, including lunch-and-learns, technical training sessions, and business presentations.
    • Target and nurture customer relationships to generate opportunities and sales of specified products.
    • Engage with the integration and panel-building community to promote product lines, new additions, technologies, programs, and marketing collaborations.
    • Spearheading the adoption and specification of core automation product lines and components among customers.
    • Initiate and drive automation project opportunities, integrating multiple product lines for comprehensive solutions.
    • Contribute to the company's growth and market presence in the assigned territory.

    Qualifications:

    • AS/BS degree in Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
    • At least 3 years of experience in industrial manufacturing or electrical distribution is preferred.
    • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
    • Innovative and creative thinking abilities for effective promotion, training, servicing, and sales.
    • Skilled in negotiation with excellent communication and consensus-building abilities.
    • Proficient presentation skills, suitable for both group and one-on-one settings.
    • Outstanding communication skills, with a knack for simplifying complex technical details.
    • Business-oriented perspective on supported products and technology.
    • Proven expertise in managing marketing initiatives, promotional programs, and product launches.
    • Demonstrated ability to lead and synergize sales efforts for account conversions.
    • Proficiency in data analysis for business opportunity assessments.
    • Computer literacy, including Windows, MS Office Suite, PDF, and PowerPoint.
    • Strong organizational skills with an aptitude for collaborative coordination and time management.
