Job Opening: Automotive Mechanic
Overview
We are seeking a Skilled Automotive Mechanic to join our busy and professional service team. The ideal candidate will have solid diagnostic and repair skills, a strong work ethic, and a proven ability to follow established repair procedures and technical documentation precisely. Key Responsibilities
Perform thorough vehicle inspections, diagnostics, and troubleshooting to identify mechanical and electrical issues.
Execute a wide range of repair and maintenance tasks, including engine, transmission, brake, steering, and suspension system repairs.
Adhere strictly to manufacturer and shop repair procedures (e.g., torque specifications, sequence of steps) to ensure the highest quality and safety of all work.
Utilize advanced diagnostic equipment and hand tools efficiently and safely.
Document all work performed accurately and legibly on repair orders.
Communicate clearly with Service Advisors regarding vehicle status and recommended repairs.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Continuously learn and adapt to new automotive technologies and repair methods.
Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a professional automotive mechanic is preferred.
Proven capability in diagnostics and repair across various vehicle makes and models.
Demonstrable understanding and commitment to following repair procedures and technical service bulletins (TSBs).
High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical school certification is a plus.
Current ASE certifications (or willingness to obtain) are highly desirable.
Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
Must own a basic set of automotive tools.
