We are seeking an experienced and quality-driven Automotive Diesel Technician to fill an open position in our car dealership’s service department. Our ideal candidate will be confident running diagnostics for diesel vehicles to identify and complete automotive repairs to systems. Responsibilities: • Diagnose and Repair Issues : Identify and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and fuel system issues in diesel-powered vehicles and equipment, using diagnostic tools and equipment to accurately determine necessary repairs • Overhaul and Rebuild Engines : Disassemble, repair, and reassemble diesel engines and components, such as fuel injectors, turbochargers, and cooling systems, to restore vehicles to full operational condition • Perform Routine Maintenance : Conduct regular inspections and maintenance on diesel engines, including oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks to ensure optimal performance and longevity Qualifications: • GED or high school diploma is mandatory • ASE certification or comparable standard service technician credential, such as SAE, is attractive • Stellar customer service and communications skills are mandatory • Must have completed a post-secondary training program in automotive service technology; associate degree a plus • 3+ years experience working on many diesel vehicles (required) Compensation: $90,000 - $120,000 yearly + starting bonus
