The ideal candidate for this position should have a track record of successful management positions with at least three years of experience, and a strong desire to succeed with integrity.
Primarily focused on customer service and acting as the liaison between the customer and the technician, managing the flow of information and work within the service department and must learn some of the key features of Tekmetric software. You will oversee daily operations and assist sales and service lead in setting big but realistic goals. when our automotive dealership succeeds, so do you! Responsibilities:
Greeting customers and listening to their concerns.
Translating customer complaints into clear, actionable work orders for technicians.
Creating repair estimates and communicating them to customers.
Scheduling service appointments and managing the shop's workflow.
Ordering parts needed for repairs.
Keeping customers informed about the status of their repairs.
Handling billing and processing payments
Writing work orders and providing accurate estimates for repairs.
Requirements:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong customer service and problem-solving abilities.
Organizational skills for managing appointments and paperwork.
Basic computer skills and experience with industry-specific software of Tek Metric software.
Knowledge of automotive services and pricing.
Familiarity with email scheduling tool.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required; a high school diploma or GED equivalent needed
Three or more years of experience in a Service Rider position for a dealership or auto group is necessary
Knowledge of the automotive industry and trends
Possess a state-issued driver’s license and acceptable driving record to operate dealership-owned vehicles
Strong communication skills; a track record of leadership; and the ability to interpret profit and loss statements are necessary for success
