    ROLE SUMMARY

    Sales support is responsible for providing support to sales reps and customers during the sales process. This includes assisting customers with resolving sales-related issues in a timely manner, providing real-time support through phones, in-person or through email, entering customer orders, providing product information, as needed. In addition to customer support, this role supports the sales team by working closely with account managers to implement targeted sales strategies.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Provide phone and email assistance to customers for order support, account management and product questions
    • Work with account managers to create and implement targeted sales strategies
    • Establish, develop and maintain business relationships with current, dormant and prospective customers
    • Inbound and outbound calls to existing and prospective customers to drive new or additional sales opportunities
    • Compile lead information and data reports to organize with sales team
    • Source new sales opportunities by performing consistent lead follow-up through outbound calls and emails
    • Coordinates sales effort with marketing, sales management, finance and technical support teams
    • Monitor sales performance through sales tracking tools and coordinate progress with sales team
    • Perform data entry and special administrative projects as necessary
    • Participate in sales committees that focus on new product launch information, continuing education and process improvements

    SKILLS

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Strong phone presence and desire to engage customers through inbound and outbound calls
    • Ability to establish customer rapport and close sales
    • Ability to use critical and creative thinking to identify and resolve complex problems
    • Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • In-depth understanding of sales principles and customer service practices
    • 2 years of experience in a high-volume sales environment
    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Proficient in computer software systems including MS Office and MS Excel
    • Working knowledge of customer relationship management software and data analysis is preferred
