    Job Description

    As an Automotive Lot Attendant with Christian Brothers Automotive, you will be assisting Technicians and Service Advisors in locating and relocating vehicles so that they can keep our work flowing. You will also provide shuttle service for our guests. You will also play a big part in keeping the shop clean, maintained and always moving.

    The Lot Attendant is responsible for performing various duties as they relate to the operation of a Service Department. This position interacts daily with Guests, Technicians, Service Managers, Service Associates, and more. Ultimately, a top-notch car porter can be entrusted with valuable property and building key relationships with the community.

    Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Greet every guest that enters our facility with hospitality and respect
    • Moving newly arrived vehicles, in progress as well as finished vehicles, around our parking lot in an organized manner
    • Driving vehicles to the front after the transaction is complete. Stay tuned in when a guestis checking out and assist the front desk staff with having the guests car delivered to the front of the shop
    • Inspect the vehicle and ensure it is clean and ready for guest pick-up
    • Accounting for and keeping inventory of all cars on the lot
    • Ensuring the cleanliness of the parking lot, including picking up debris and trash
    • Responsible for all facilities' housekeeping duties for the lobby, bathrooms, and shop. Including but not limited to; cleaning, straightening, sweeping, mopping, dusting, emptying wastebaskets, and organizing
    • Responsible for occasionally test-driving vehicles
    • Desire to learn automotive repair service terminology and processes
    • Occasionally providing safe shuttle service for our valued guests in our branded vehicle
    • Driving off-site to run errands. Including picking up / returning parts and cores and other miscellaneous errands as needed
    • Assist other team members as needed with clerical tasks such as accounts receivable and filing paperwork
    • Follow all safety policies and procedures
    • Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications:

    • A valid drivers license
    • Driving record acceptable to our current insurance carrier
    • Willingness to learn and to perform a wide range of tasks
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to take accurate notes regarding vehicle movements and vehicle conditions
    • Forward-thinking and anticipating the movement of vehicles throughout the day; creative parking solutions
    • Ability to operate a manual/stick shift transmission vehicle

    Physical Requirements:

    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, talk and hear
    • The employee is occasionally required to balance, stoop, kneel, and/or crouch
    • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
    • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus
    • Keeping a brisk work pace in a high-volume environment
