We are searching for an analytically minded auto mechanic to help our repair shop’s customers resolve issues with their vehicles’ performance, structure, appearance, and functionality. Our ideal candidate is comfortable communicating with customers about their vehicles’ performance and maintenance history. You’ll be tasked with inspecting automobiles’ mechanical components, systems, and parts to determine their necessary fixes. You’ll also maintain repair shop equipment and prepare cost estimates. Compensation & Bonus • $60,000 – $70,000/year • Weekly production bonus (on top of base pay) • 401(k) • Health insurance contribution (via marketplace plan) Responsibilities: • Team up with managers and other mechanics to diagnose and service cars coming in for auto repairs • Inspect, test drive, and perform diagnostic tests to determine vehicle problems, parts needed for repairs, and necessary work • Preparing estimates, timelines, and other necessary documents for auto repairs • Continue learning and growing technical skills and opportunities • Provide preventive maintenance work like replacing brake pads, adjusting fluids, rotating tires, completing oil changes, and servicing the air conditioning Qualifications: • Strong manual dexterity and proficiency with hand tools and other repair shop equipment is necessary • Excellent work ethic, listening, problem-solving, and communication skills are desired • An associate's degree from a vocational or technical school and/or ASE certification are a plus • Valid driver’s license needed Compensation: $60,000 - $70,000
