Automotive Service Advisor — MotorCar Doctors (Beaverton, OR)

    Monday–Friday | No Weekends | $24/hr + Commission | Health Insurance + PTO

You don't have to have worked a service counter before. But you do have to love cars, know how to talk to people, and actually care about doing right by the customer.

MotorCar Doctors has been serving the Beaverton community since 1995. We're an independent shop with a loyal customer base, modern digital inspection systems, and a front counter that runs as a team — one person isn't left holding everything alone.

We're looking for someone who's ready to step into a service advisor role and grow with us. If you've got automotive knowledge, strong customer service instincts, and a natural ability to communicate — we'll teach you the rest.

    What the Job Pays

$24/hr base + commission. Our last advisor hit $60K. We've reworked the pay plan — a strong performer should do better than that.

    The Schedule

Monday through Friday. No weekends. No rotating Saturdays. No on-call.

    What You'll Be Doing

You're the main connection between our customers and our technicians. That means answering phones, scheduling appointments, writing repair orders, walking customers through their digital inspection results, explaining what their car needs and why, and keeping the shop day moving without the chaos.

The way we do it matters. No pressure tactics. No inflated estimates. We show customers what we found, explain it in plain language, and help them make good decisions. That's why people have been coming back here for 30 years.

    What We're Looking For

Genuine automotive knowledge and enthusiasm — you need to be able to talk cars credibly

Strong customer service and communication skills, especially on the phone

Natural sales ability — the consultative kind, not the pushy kind

Organized, calm, and able to manage a busy day without dropping the ball

    Team-first attitude and solid follow-through

Prior service advisor experience is a plus, not a requirement

    What We Offer

$24/hr base + commission (real earning potential, not just a base)

    Health insurance

    Paid time off

    Monday–Friday, no weekends

A shop that's been around since 1995 with consistent car count and a strong local reputation

Modern systems — AutoVitals digital inspections, a professional work environment

For the right long-term person, a genuine growth path — including potential equity or ownership

If you're a car person who's good with people and tired of jobs that don't match your energy — this is worth a conversation.
