Responsibilities: • Explain automotive systems issues to customers to ensure a clear, transparent repair process • Perform routine maintenance, as needed, like checking fluid levels, rotating tires, and oil changes • Operate diagnostic equipment to accurately determine the cause of malfunction codes with the vehicle’s integrated computer system • Apply a checklist-based approach to ensure a comprehensive examination of all vehicle systems, including the engine, air conditioning, transmission, and brake systems • Follow all manufacturer specifications for vehicle system repairs to ensure optimum customer satisfaction and facilitate returning business • Perform routine automotive maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and filter replacements • Diagnose and repair issues with vehicles • Inspect and test automotive electrical systems for faults and malfunctions • Replace worn or damaged parts, such as shocks, struts, and suspension components • Perform scheduled vehicle maintenance services according to manufacturer guidelines • Keep accurate records of all repairs and maintenance performed Qualifications: • Automotive Service Excellence /ASE certification or Society of Automotive Engineers /SAE certification is preferred • Strong customer service and communications skills are needed • Must have completed a post-secondary training program in automotive service technology; associate degree a plus • GED or high school diploma is mandatory • Experience level: 3 years • Proven experience as an Automotive Technician or similar role • Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of automotive systems • Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing vehicles • Familiarity with automotive electrical systems and troubleshooting techniques - Ability to use hand tools and diagnostic equipment effectively • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment • Strong communication skills to explain technical issues to customers • Strong willingness to work with others in a positive way Compensation: $25 - $45 hourly
