    Job Title: Automotive Shop Operations and Facilities Coordinator Location: Chaos Fab Shop, Winchester, VA Reports To: Shop Manager / Service Manager

    Position Summary: Chaos Fab Shop is looking for a motivated, organized, and hands-on Automotive Shop Operations and Facilities Coordinator to keep our shop running smoothly and help bring customer dream builds to life. This fast-paced, dynamic role blends administrative work, shop support, and hands-on tasks. You’ll manage inventory, assist mechanics, track projects, and help prep our incredible fleet of show and race vehicles for events across the country.

You’ll work alongside an energetic team, support jaw-dropping builds, and help keep our shop fleet event-ready.     Key Responsibilities

    Liaise between manufacturers, vendors, customers, and mechanics.

    Track project progress using shop management software.

    Check in vehicles, conduct condition surveys, and update workflows.

    Manage inventory; reorder parts and shop supplies.

    Handle shipping and receiving; load/unload trailers and equipment.

    Keep shop areas safe, clean, and organized.

    Pick up and deliver parts to shops, customers, and vendors.

    Assist the service writer with leads, quotes, and customer updates.

    Help keep Chaos show and race vehicles event-ready.

    Support mechanics and shop staff with hands-on projects.

    Jump into other tasks as needed — every day is different!

    Requirements

    Valid driver’s license; clean driving record.

    Basic math, reading, writing, and computer skills.

    Experience operating shop equipment (forklift, Bobcat).

    Ability to lift up to 80 lbs; work indoors and outdoors.

    Ability to connect, drive, and back up trailers confidently.

    Knowledge of safety practices and vehicle loading.

    Strong multitasking and teamwork abilities.
