    Company / Position Overview We are a well-established and busy automotive repair facility in Ventura County seeking an experienced Automotive Technician 1 to join our team. This role is ideal for a customer-focused professional with strong automotive knowledge who thrives in a fast-paced, process-driven environment. Job Summary

    Deliver superior customer service as the first point of contact for service customers

    Provide thorough and accurate diagnostics and documentation of customer maintenance and repair needs

    Provide exceptional customer service that delivers repeat business

    Accurately document customer concerns and vehicle symptoms

    Create, manage, and update repair orders

    Communicate vehicle diagnostics and repair needs clearly to technicians

    Explain recommended repairs and maintenance services to customers

    Upsell necessary and recommended repairs and preventative maintenance ethically

    Provide timely status updates throughout the repair process

    Coordinate with technicians, vendors, and customers to ensure smooth workflow

    Schedule, confirm, and follow up on service appointments

    Maintain a professional appearance, positive attitude, and high energy

    Qualifications

    Minimum 3 years of experience as a Service Writer, Service Advisor, or Lead Automotive Technician

    Strong automotive repair knowledge and technical understanding

    Excellent communication, sales, and customer service skills

    Proven service sales ability

    Proven ability to maintain 5-star customer satisfaction ratings

    Experience working with repair shop management software

    Comfortable using computers, texting, and digital communication tools

    Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, process-driven environment

    Familiarity with diagnostic and testing equipment

    High school diploma or equivalent
