Job Summary
The Level 2 Technician will work under the Service Director and the shop foreman to deliver revenue growth, profit growth, and a consistently high level of customer and employee satisfaction. The Level 2 Technician will devote his efforts, energies and skills to the discharge of his duties and devote his professional time and attention to the business and affairs of Star Automotive LLC (“Company”, or “Employer”).
Responsibilities
Maintain proficiency in servicing the major vehicles as directed.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience performing problem diagnosis, maintenance, and repair on assigned units.
Ability to scan and perform accurate and thorough diagnosis of problems on assigned units.
Ability to differentiate and document mandatory repairs and recommended repairs.
Ability to perform all required maintenance and repair on assigned units with some guidance or oversight.
Ability to safely and properly use all equipment necessary to perform duties as assigned with little or no guidance or oversight.
Maintain a current level of training on all products as directed.
Consistently flag a minimum of 25 hours work per week.
Assist lesser skilled technicians in their skills development.
10.Assist other departments in achieving their objectives.
11.Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
12.Move units and equipment as directed.
13.Provide safe and damage free pickup and delivery service of units, equipment, and supplies as directed.
14.Run a variety of errands as directed.
15.Maintain a neat and well groomed appearance in company approved attire. r
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED is required
An associate degree or completion of an automotive service technician training program is preferred
Automotive Service Excellence/ASE certification or Society of Automotive Engineers/SAE certification is preferred
Strong customer service and communications skills are required
