    Job Summary

    Schneller has an opening for an experienced automotive technician whose capabilities should include various aspects of vehicle diagnostics and repair including:

    Mechanical

    Electrical

    HVAC

    Proficiency using diagnostic scan tools

    Coding & Programming

    Fabrication experience

    MIG welding

    Vehicle alignments and chassis set up

    As we operate within a specialty automotive niche, BMW and MINI experience is desired. Demonstration of transferable foreign automotive skills will also be considered.

    Responsibilities

    Conduct in-depth vehicle inspections of all systems, including engine, transmission, all wheel drive, chassis, suspension, tires and brakes

    Use your expertise and diagnostic tools to evaluate vehicle malfunctions and recommend repairs

    Interface with our technical & software support service as necessary to accurately diagnose & repair vehicles

    Carry out routine vehicle maintenance tasks such as oil changes, belts, brake, shock & tire services, AC service and drivetrain fluids

    Use your mechanical skill to tackle more complicated repairs.

    Convey necessary vehicle repair information and recommendations to the service writer in a timely, clear and concise manner

    Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and repeat business by diagnosing and fixing the car right the first time

    Qualifications

    High school diploma or GED is required

    An associate degree or completion of an automotive service technician training program is desired

    Experience may be substituted for education & training

    Automotive Service Excellence/ASE certification or Society of Automotive Engineers/SAE certification is a plus

    Strong customer service and communications skills are required

    Personal tools sufficient to perform the job are essential
