    Job Overview We are seeking an experienced and skilled and dedicated Automotive Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in automotive repair, with expertise in diagnosing and resolving mechanical issues. This role requires proficiency in working with various automotive systems, including electrical systems and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems). The Automotive Mechanic will work primarily on GM vehicles but should be adaptable to other makes and models as needed.

    Responsibilities

    Diagnose and repair automotive issues, including mechanical, electrical, and body repairs.

    Utilize schematics to troubleshoot and resolve complex problems efficiently.

    Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure vehicles operate at optimal performance.

    Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify potential issues before they become major problems.

    Repair or replace defective parts using appropriate tools and techniques, including welding when necessary.

    Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed on each vehicle.

    Collaborate with team members to ensure high-quality service and customer satisfaction.

    Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques.

    Experience

    Proven experience as an Automotive Mechanic, preferably within a dealership environment.

    Strong knowledge of automotive repair processes, including auto body repair and automotive electrical systems.

    Familiarity with ADAS technologies is a plus.

    Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams effectively.

    Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.

    Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.

    Qualifications

    High school diploma or GED is required

    An associate degree or completion of an automotive service technician training program is preferred

    Automotive Service Excellence/ASE certification or Society of Automotive Engineers/SAE certification is preferred

    Strong customer service and communications skills are required
