    We are looking for a light-duty Automotive Technician to join our successful family-owned business of 15 years. As an Automotive Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing gas engine vehicles, particularly light-duty trucks and autos. We provide most diagnostic equipment, offer training, and provide top-tier pay, the more experienced you are. We are the most well-equipped shop in North Idaho. Responsibilities: • Apply a checklist-based approach to ensure a comprehensive examination of all vehicle systems, including the engine, air conditioning, transmission, and brake systems • Follow all manufacturer specifications for vehicle system repairs to ensure optimum customer satisfaction and facilitate returning business • Explain automotive systems issues to customers to ensure a clear, transparent repair process • Use your expertise and diagnostic tools to evaluate vehicle malfunction codes. • Assist with proper documentation procedures for tracking repair status, maintaining technical documentation, and other necessary protocols. • Carry out routine vehicle maintenance tasks such as tire rotations, oil changes, and brake pad replacements. • Conduct in-depth digital vehicle inspections of all systems, including engine, transmission, and brakes. • Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and repeat business. • Convey necessary vehicle repair information to customers in a clear and concise manner. Qualifications: • Automotive service technology training program completion or equivalent years of experience is required; associates degree is a bonus • 4-5 years of prior shop experience, or previous schooling, is preferred. • Automotive Service Excellence/ASE certification or Society of Automotive Engineers/SAE certification is preferred. Compensation: $60,000 - $100,000+ DOE
