Responsibilities: • Continue learning and growing technical skills and opportunities • Team up with managers and other mechanics to diagnose and service cars coming in for auto repairs • Encourage and facilitate preventive maintenance work such as oil changes, air conditioning service, flushing, brake replacement, tire rotation, and more • Perform system inspections, test drives, and diagnostic tests to determine necessary repair work • Keep organized vehicle repairs, maintenance, and service history records. • Continue learning and growing technical skills and opportunities • Complete preventive maintenance work on vehicles, including oil changes, air conditioning service, filling fluids, and replacing brake pads, spark plugs, and batteries • Identify and address mechanical problems and malfunction codes found in the vehicle's electrical system, mechanical systems, and electronic systems • Conduct test drives, inspections, and diagnostic tests to determine automotive malfunctions • Work with team members to determine vehicle problems and solutions Qualifications: • High school diploma or GED equivalent necessary • Strong manual dexterity and proficiency with hand tools and other repair shop equipment is necessary • Strong work ethic and excellent communication skills are necessary • A valid driver’s license is necessary • Associate’s degree from a vocational program, technical school, or community college is preferred - ASE certification is a big bonus Compensation: $55,000 - $100,000+ yearly DOE
