Job Summary

The Level 3 Technician will devote his efforts, energies and skills to the discharge of his duties and devote his professional time and attention to the business and affairs of Star Automotive LLC (“Company”, or “Employer”).

Responsibilities

Minimum of 5 years’ experience performing problem diagnosis, maintenance, and repair on assigned units.

Achieve certifications necessary to diagnose and perform repairs as directed.

Ability to scan and accurately and thoroughly perform diagnosis of necessary repairs both mandatory and recommended.

Ability to perform all required maintenance and repairs on assigned units with minimum guidance or oversight.

Ability to safely and properly use all equipment necessary to perform duties as assigned with little or no guidance or oversight.

Ability to perform basic duties of a Service Writer.

Maintain a current level of training on all vehicles as directed.

Ability to complete the majority of work in less time than manufacturer’s estimate.

Consistently flag a minimum of 30 hours work per week.

Maintain discipline clocking in and out upon arrival, breaks, lunch, and end of day.

Take an active role is growing the skills and work quality of lesser skilled technicians.

Assist other departments in achieving their objectives.

Assist in the tasks of Service Writer as needed.

Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Move units and equipment as directed.

Provide safe and damage free pickup and delivery service of units, equipment, and supplies as directed.

Run a variety of errands as directed.

Maintain a neat and well groomed appearance in company approved attire.

Qualifications

1-3 years on the job experience

High school diploma or GED is required

An associate degree or completion of an automotive service technician training program is preferred

Automotive Service Excellence/ASE certification or Society of Automotive Engineers/SAE certification is preferred

Strong customer service and communications skills are required
