    At Precision Tune Auto Care – Durham @ Hwy 54/55(near I-40) we offer our customers a one stop solution for all of their automotive maintenance and repair needs (a true dealer alternative). From oil changes and tires to engine replacement and electrical diagnosis; simply put, we fix cars. It is important to us that our customers are always happy, safe, and that their cars are reliably maintained. As an independently owned shop, we are part of a national franchise that has served customers for over 45 years.

    Our company strives to provide outstanding customer service and high-quality work at a great value. We are looking for an enthusiastic, passionate team member who wants to develop and grow with our group and take on increasing responsibility.

    Automotive technician duties include performing repairs on all vehicle components (e.g. brakes, emissions/exhaust, A/C, suspension, electrical, etc). You will also need to be able to explain mechanical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals, which would include customers. In addition, we want you to continuously improve your technical knowledge.

    Qualifications / Requirements include:

    ● Currently employed in an automotive center

    ● 3+ years of automotive technical experience.

    ● Excellent communication and sales skills

    ● An outgoing personality

    ● Automotive experience in direct repair with diagnostics, general repairs and maintenance

    ● ASE certifications preferred, and definitely mechanically minded

    ● Ability to multi-task in a customer focused retail environment, while ensuring accuracy of work

    ● Good computer and phone skills

    ● Ability to effectively communicate well verbally and in writing

    ● Ability to work a flexible schedule including Saturdays

    ● Be able to pass background check

    ● Valid driver’s license

    ● High school degree and/or some college preferred
